What We Do
Initial Consultations
for $700 we help you set your project in motion, whether you continue working with us or not. We send you homework assignments including our priorities check list, that you complete before we meet. We then spend about 2 hours together, then another hour or so of follow-up. With Leslie’s current billing rate at $265/hour, the normal value of 3 hours of meeting/design time plus 1.5 hour of her reduced travel-time billing rate, is almost $1,000. The initial consultation may be the most valuable part of every project. We are really good at getting to the right project before you start spending the real time and money.
Interior Design
We are licensed for commercial interiors license in Florida. At this time, no license is required in Massachusetts. No license is required for residential interior designers in most states.
Design Decision-making Consultations
keeping projects on track by helping clients make the right decisions for schedule, budget, and quality. We consult on larger projects that may already have other architects and designers. Often initiated by the builder when they need decisions, or by clients who need a trusted voice who will listen to all “sides” and help present succinctly and without noise, the pros and cons of each decision.
Color Selections
We are known for our love and knowledge of color and color combinations that will help create the right look for each space or organization. There is a big difference between colors used for websites and logos, and colors used for 3-Dimensional space. The perception of color is greatly influenced by the overall scale of the space, its lighting, and any textural components.
Art Selection and Coordination
Art can make or break any space, so let’s make sure that it’s great and appropriate for the use of the space. We work with a few art consultants/dealers and galleries to obtain best within the budget both for original and reproductions of works of art.
Lighting Design
What needs to be lit? The days of even illumination are over. Lighting makes all the difference in how we perceive space. We always bring in professional lighting designers for very complex lighting requirements, for whom we help translate the needs of the project, and help you make decisions
Acoustic Design
Glass, Plaster, and Tile all reflect sound as if a mirror. Depending on use, we can help mitigate the worst offenders. We always bring in professional acousticians for very complex acoustic requirements, for whom we help translate the needs of the project, and help you make decisions.
